The Sam Newbould Quintet is an award winning five piece international line-up emerging from the vibrant Amsterdam jazz scene. Described as “mindblowing, sometimes introverted and intimate and then exuberant again” (SWN Talent Award, NL), their music combines virtuosity with driving grooves and playful melodies that stick in your head. The quintet are selected showcase artists at Jazzahead 2025 and have performed on major stages including North Sea Jazz Festival, Love Supreme (UK), BIMHUIS (NL), and the Vortex (UK).
The band are touring Europe supporting the release of their third album ‘Homing’ (ZenneZ Records).
